Traditional Media vs. New Media

It's no surprise that technology has influenced the communications field. But how? According to Pew Research Center, about 48% of U.S. adults say they consume news from social media applications (Walker & Matsa, 2021). That's a huge percentage of people! If you look around you, you would see people checking their phones for the latest news updates. Heck, I even look at social media applications for this information. People are interested in waiting for the five o'clock news. They can get breaking news updates from their smartphones. This is just one of the ways traditional media has changed.

Now, new media strategies and tools have shaped a new form of advertising. Also, this new form of digital marketing has allowed for different types of marketing such as push and pull marketing
